Set Post-Event Debrief Meeting
Who should attend this meeting?
While I have held individual meetings with stakeholders, it’s best to have all those who attended the event, including all support staff, attend a post-mortem debrief. Every partner will have valuable insight into components of the event that you were not involved in.
Discussion Points to Consider:
-
Were all organizations/volunteers generally pleased with the way the event went? i.e. Did they serve their requested audience, did they feel their work and org was well represented, etc.
-
How was the event flow? Where did attendance members get stuck during the process or where did they seem confused?
Enter Event Participant Evaluation Data
What information should be included in participant evaluation forms?
What your organization decides to include is ultimately your decision, as the demographic data you need will be determined by your own funder and internal goals. Appleseed has revised ours countless times, but the following points have stayed the same. For our most up-to-date evaluation form, see here.

Tip: It is important for your presenter to call attention to these evaluation forms and use hardcopy. Our clients are often elderly and they will not fill out an online form, despite how helpful or unhelpful they found your event.
