JUNE 3, 2019, NEW ORLEANS - Louisiana Appleseed will be an exhibitor at the Louisiana State Bar Association's 78th Annual Meeting in Sandestin, Florida on Sunday, June 2 through Thursday, June 6. The event brings together attorneys and judges from Louisiana to strengthen professional legal skills, expand networks, and provides an opportunity for the regular administration of the Louisiana State Bar Association's business. Louisiana Appleseed has been a staple exhibitor at the event that draws over 500 participants.

"We provide the Bar Association members with a one-of-a-kind opportunity to impact our state on a policy, or systemic level," said Adrienne Wheeler, Executive Director of Louisiana Appleseed. "It is of paramount importance that our legal community knows what we do and how to access us. We welcome pro bono professionals to join our mission to solve problems at their root cause by finding ways to create access to justice, opportunity and education."

Louisiana Appleseed has facilitated projects within the three program areas of justice, opportunity, and education, since 2007. Pro bono partners have enabled low-income homeowners to acquire clear ownership their properties after disasters, as well as provided resources to the judiciary in their daily administration of justice. The program areas and the project accomplishments will be on display during the annual conference on Sunday, June 2 from 12pm to 7pm and Monday, June 3 through Thursday, June 6 from 8am to 12pm.

Louisiana Appleseed Center for Law & Justice was established in 1999 and reconstituted in 2007. We cultivate pro bono volunteers to help ensure access to justice, opportunity, and education. Solving problems at their root cause, we connect policymakers with problem solvers.
