January 13, 2023, NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA - Louisiana Appleseed is excited to announce that its Annual Good Apple Gala will take place on January 19, 2023 at the Four Seasons Hotel in New Orleans. The event will begin at 5:30 PM and end at 8:00 PM. Co-chairing the event are attorneys Kimberly Silas from Wilson Elsner and Bryce Addison from Deutsch Kerrigan.

Each year, Louisiana Appleseed hosts its Good Apple Gala to celebrate the previous year's work performed. During the Good Apple Gala, Louisiana Appleseed awards community partners and volunteers who have risen above the typical pro bono commitment with a Pro Bono Good Apple Award. This year’s awards recipients include the Urban League of Louisiana, law firm Goodwin Procter, and Benjamin Mahoney of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana.

"We are grateful for the work Appleseed's pro bono network performs year over year," said Adrienne Wheeler, Executive Director of Louisiana Appleseed. "This is Appleseed's opportunity to say 'thank you' to the honorees, and the whole pro bono network."

Proceeds from the Good Apple Gala will support Louisiana Appleseed's continued efforts to promote justice and equity for all Louisianans and whose work includes advocating on issues such as poverty, access to education, and fair housing.

Tickets and sponsorship to the 2023 Good Apple Gala can be purchased online at www.louisianaappleseed.org/2023gala. The Good Apple Gala will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel, located at 2 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130.
