Louisiana Appleseed to host the 2024 Good Apple Gala on Jan. 18 in New Orleans

Friday, December 22, 2023 [NEW ORLEANS, LA] – Louisiana Appleseed is excited to announce that its Annual Good Apple Gala will take place on January 18, 2024 at the Sazerac House in New Orleans. The event will begin at 6:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM. Co-chairing the event are attorneys Bryce Addison from Deutsch Kerrigan and Lorcan Connick from Barrasso Usdin Kupperman Freeman & Sarver.


The purpose of the Good Apple Gala is to celebrate the work performed in the previous year and elevate those who have gone above and beyond in their service to community. This year, Louisiana Appleseed is proud to present President & CEO of Audubon Nature Institute Ron Forman and Adams and Reese Pro Bono Paladin Mark Surprenant as our Community Justice honorees. Additionally, we are proud to recognize Joanna Brochado and Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at Pan-American Life Insurance Company Daniel LaGrone as our Pro Bono honorees.


“To have such incredible community partners and a hardworking pro bono network is a special thing,” said Louisiana Appleseed Executive Director Adrienne Wheeler. “This Gala is an opportunity for Louisiana Appleseed to say ‘thank you’ for the work they do.”


The 2024 sponsors include Silver sponsors Deutsch Kerrigan, LLP & Pan-American Life Insurance Group as well as Bronze sponsor Blue Cross Blue Shield Louisiana. Proceeds from the Good Apple Gala will go directly towards Louisiana Appleseed’s efforts to create more equitable access to justice, education, and opportunity in Louisiana.
